Pamelas Birthday Card... Grrrrrr....Argggggggg...

I made this card for my friend Pam for her 25th birthday. I wanted to go with something different and pink and black since she's into punk and likes those colors. Seriously, most of her artwork is pink and black. First off I used my Wild Cards Cricut cartridge to pick my card design. I picked her favorite colors, and added some glitter. This was a lot of fun to do.

On the inside I added color to the black and white floral pattern. It's a little girly and Pam isn't REALLY into girly stuff but come on, I had to!!! Overall, this is one of my favorite cards. Hope she likes it.

Changes

So I thought I would try to get some more exposure to the site. I added an RSS feed button (not really sure what that does) and yay! I add an e-mail subscription button!!! So happy. I've been wanting to do that in a long time but I couldn't figure out how to add it. That button is courtesy of feedburner.com. I also set up a Twitterfeed account, since I have twitter, so that my posts can show up on my twitter. My Twitter name is @jost143. It's set to private though so you'll have to request to follow me.

Best,

Jackie

Cocoa says, "Cheer up, Buttercup!"

So yesterday my neighbor asked me to make her a CHEER UP type of card for one of her friends who has been going a tough a tough time. I considered a card with a flower vase on top, but then I say this on my Cricut Paper Pups cartridge and decided this was waaaayyyy cuter than a flower vase! I absolutely love this card. I do not want to give it away!!!

This is also the first time I've used the border option with my Cricut. I love this pup. I think I'm going to do borders on my envelopes from now on.

So my friend Jase asked me, "What's that pup's name?" After a long deliberation I decided on... COCOA!!!! Yeah, I like that name. I should write it in a little corner. He reminds me of the little stuffed dog I had named Cocoa. He was so soft and huggable! so world... MEET COCOA!

Geovanni's Scrapbook: What I Did This Summer 2009

This is Geovanni's scrapbook: What I Did This Summer 2009. We made this out of lunch bags. Got this idea from Scrapbook Memories show. I made one and he made one but I didn't have enough time to decorate mine because we did his last minute. So what we did was first, we glued the bottom that folds out--to the bag. Then we painted each side a different color. After they dried, usually a few hours, but we left ours overnight. We glue each lunch bag together but only the bottom square part so that the top of the lunch bags were loose and were able to flip open. I hope I'm explaining it right. It's really easy. After that he started decorating. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to insert anything into the opening of the bags.

To begin: Geovanni needed a little more help than Gabs. I came up with some page ideas while traveling to work by train.

So after you open to the first page, you are brought to a very important question about Geovanni's behavior this year:

Was he an Angel (left) or a Devil? (right)
If you click on the thumbnail and then click on the picture when you get to Photobucket to zoom in, you can see that I drew Angel wings and a halo on the Angel page, and a Devil tail and horns on the Devil page. Haha!

(Left pic) Titi (me) says he was... Egggggg-cellent!!! (All he ate was eggs!!!)
(Rigt pic) Next were his poison Ivy pix from 2007 and 2009. I can't find the 2008 pix. That's right people, he's gotten it a total 3 times in the past 3 years!!

Next are his Lake Compounce pix, Javin (little cousin) pix, and Old Orchard Beach, Maine pix

Then he wanted to put old pictures. The ones on the left are his baby pix, the ones on the right are pix of him and my brother (his dad) and a page of me and Geo.

On the left more family and devilish pix. On the right Lil' Gee and Geovanni dancing.

Finally his Michael Jackson page. No lie, he spent the whole summer listening to Michael Jackson. So we put a pic of him on the page, a picture of Geovanni as a Dancing Machine, and then I had to show Geo's favorite Jacksn Five video "Dancing Machine" which he watched constantly on my iPod.

Even though we had to do this fast, literally, midnight the night before they were supposed to leave for Florida. We finished around 3 a.m. They had to get up at 4. My niece and I didn't sleep at all.

Gaby's Scrapbook: Getting To Know Me

This is Gaby's scrapbook which she mostly decorated herself, with a few pointers from me. We made the book together by combining two pages with glue to make them thick enough to hold her pictures. The cover is painted over with a tan color. We cut out the letters with my Cricut Expressions then she ran them through my sticker maker and then added the glitter.

The first page section is her family page. She has my dad, Geovanni, my family, and Lil'Gee on there.

She had so much fun making this scrapbook. I can't remember if it was her or Geovanni but she said she wanted to make a book each year.
