Gigio's Cards featuring new Tildas!!

These are more of my brother Gigio's cards. Towards the end I decided I would pull out my new Tildas and make cards using them. I have 6 Christmas Tildas from the So Jolly, So Snowy, Mistletoe Collection, plus the Noel stamp from the same collection. They are so much fun to make! I used my Martha Stewart markers since I don't have the Copic Sketch markers and I'm not a big fan of Prismacolor Pencils and gamsol. Too much pressure on my thumb when I use those. I also used my Prismacolor Premier Double Ended Art Markers which my brother's Fiance Gladys had bought for him when he was in art class, but he doesn't use anymore so his loss is my gain! These markers blend very well. The only problem is that they bleed but I cut out the images that had bleeding. I also used Decorating chalk for their faces towards the end. I didn't like the way they came out with the Prismacolor Pencils. Maggies are easy to cut too.

Pam got this red poinsetta for me. At first I wasn't sure how or when I would use it because it was so big! But I started making my pink hued card (which I love, by the way. It is my first pink card), anyway, so after I made the card I looked in my Christmas drawer and saw the poinsettia and thought "Perfect!" And voila!

This card I made long after the Pink one. I usually do two hues of the same or similar card but since I don't have another poinsettia like the one above, I wasn't going to do one until I remembered I have other poinsettias. So I used this one. Again, thanks to Pam. By the way, the actual card looks like the third picture (with envelope), I don't know why the first picture came blue-green.

And now for the big announcement!!!! Here come my new Maggies!!!! So EXCITED!!!!! I stamped a bunch of them on a big 12x12 sheet of white paper then colored them in various colors. Afterwards I cut out a few and others I cut out in an oval or square.

This is #3002 Unwrapped Tilda. She is too cute. I used my Martha Stewart Crafts Markers for this one. The felt end works extremely well for the little corners. You really have to have a steady hand which I never knew I had! Her face is colored with Prismacolor Pencils. I don't know the proper names or numbers for the pencils and markers. I just pick and use.

Here's Unwrapped Tilda again but in a green hue. Again used the same Marker types to color.

Here is Edwin as #146 Santa's Helper. I know he's sitting down and I need to put something behind him so he's sitting on it but at the time I didn't even know that my Noel stamp is used for sitting images on top of! He is not cut out. I started using my Prismacolor Markers on the belt until I saw that it started to bleed so I switched back to Martha's Markers, which don't bleed at all. His face is colored using my chalk set and a Q-tip which works better than the applicators the chalk sets come with.

This is #3001 Wrapped Tilda. She's cut out. I placed her over the striped Oval so it looks like she's sitting on it. I'm still a novice at using Tildas so my cards aren't as fantabulous as the ones I see on the Magnolia-licious Yahoo Group, but I'm trying! I really like this card's color scheme. And I like the tiny flowers on top. I added Glossy Accents in the center to give them some POP! This Tilda was colored using Prismacolor Markers. Her hair was colored using Martha Stewart Markers, and her face was colored using my chalks.

Finally I still have 4 more Tildas to use and the Noel stamp. Watch for those soon!
