Edwin Wants You To Know What Day It Is!

Hello Friends!! I am so excited because today is our Thanksgiving pot-luck at work. We each had to bring in a homemade dish this year. I brought in a container of Ecuadorian tuna fish mixed with diced tomatoes and sliced onions and another container of cooked potatoes that you eat with the tuna. Then tomorrow, my sister-in-law, Gladys, is hosting Thanksgiving at her house. It will be her and my brother's First Thanksgiving as a married couple! I can't wait.

Now, in keeping with the happy times, I'd like to present two cards I made this past weekend. The first is actually a postcard. You know how last year I made calendar cards for my dad to give to his clients? Well, this year, I saw that someone (I can't remember her name or her page, sorry!) had made a calendar card magnet with some Magnolias. I thought they were sooo cute and the wheels in my head started turning and I thought, I should do that for my DAD!!!! I showed him some pictures of what the card might look like and he said, "Sure go ahead." But I don't think he fully understood what was about to HAPPEN!!! So we ordered the mini calendars from skybluepink. And I bought a coil of magnets from Jo-Ann's and I got to work. Below is my first attempt at the MINI CALENDAR POSTCARD MAGNET. When I showed my DAD (hung it on the refrigerator and it took him awhile to see it "Dad can you get me the cranberry juice?" {nothing} "Dad can you get me the mustard?" {nothing} "Dad can you get me the uh, the uh.... okay just look at the door!") You should've seen his face. He absolutely fell in love with the postcard. So now my task is to make 99 more!!! EEK!!

For this postcard I used Santa's Helper Edwin which you can buy from Diana over at Magnolia-Licious. I don't see him on there right now but if you e-mail Diana she could let you know the ETA for this stamp. I used some clear glitter on his hat and gloves and he's colored with Distress Inks. The calendar is from skybluepink. I bought 100 of the medium sized ones and it was about $20. Great price I would say! The sentiment I printed from my laptop. the DPs are from scraps I have. I also used glitter around the red borders.

The back of the postcard just has the magnets and my little chickie logo which I love!

For my next card, my dear Mummy asked me to make a card for her boss, whose wife is feeling ill. I decided I would use a Lili of the Valley stamp for this. This is my first project with this stamp.  It is actually part of the Occasions Stamp Sheet that I received from Helen as part of the blog candy I won recently. Cute right? I added Diamond stickles to the border and several flowers with some pink glitter as well. I'm trying to make use of the glitters and flowers I have because I have so much! I left the inside blank so that my mom (really me. She makes me write everything for her!) could write inside.

The back also showcases my cute little chickie! Tweet! Tweet!
