A Wedding Card And A Sympathy Card

This is a wedding card I made for my cousin Lizbeth. She got married in March. I knew lavender was part of her color scheme so I tried to incorporate it in the card. This is a tag-shaped easel card. The last picture was taken the day of the wedding and my camera lens was super blurry so that's why that picture looks foggy in some places. The stamp I used is a cute card (big size) from Lili of the Valley. I really love that place. The circular stamp is also from Lili of the Valley. The flowers are Wild Orchid.  Ribbons, swirl gems, and the lace are from my stash.

One of my dad's neighbors from his shop passed away recently so my dad asked me to make a sympathy card for him to give to his neighbor's family.

Two Sympathy cards

A few weeks ago my dad asked me to make him a sympathy card for his neighbor at his shop because her father had passed away. I made the card below first and wanted to use soft browns and pinks. I showed my parents and they liked the car but they wanted something in more traditional colors: black and white. So.... I went and made almost the same card but in black and white. They loved it!! And I  have to say I really liked it as well. They gave the recipient the card and she also liked it very much :)

Tri-Shutter Sympathy Card

Here's another Sympathy card I made a few weeks ago. This one was for my co-worker who's dear mother passed away. I knew I wanted to make a nice card but I didn't want to make the same 'ole same 'ole folded card. So I looked at all the templates I had and thought this would be perfect. This is a tri-shutter card. I actually followed the directions in an issue of Cardmaker which made making this super easy. It took about 3 hours, what with the cutting and figuring out what I wanted to put on it. In the end I think it came out beautifully :) I brought it into work the next day and since my boss hadn't gotten a card yet I told her we could all sign my card so we did!

A Sympathy Card

Hi everyone, sorry I've been away! I've been busy working and helping my dad remodel the house. I've made a few cards here and there. I wasn't able to make any for Mother's Day and probably won't make any for Father's Day since I don't want to make my mom feel bad by giving one to my dad. However, there have been a few occasions where I was asked/ felt like making some. Below you'll find a sympathy card I made for my mom. She asked me to make one for her co-worker. I made this one pretty fast. Used different types of DP and added the vase and flowers with the butterfly.

In Memoriam...

My dad asked me to make him a card for the wife of one of his customers. She had recently passed away after being in a comma for several weeks.

So this is it. I've decided to incorporate a new little design in the corner of the inner left page. It's a little chick holding a balloon. It's one of my favorite stamps. I just think it adds a little cuteness to the card. Look for it in all my cards from now on.

I had a great time making this card. The tree branches and flowers Pam got me are fabulous, and the "With Sincere Sympathy" adds to the loveliness of the card. Instantly one of my favorites.
