Our Wedding Day... Finally!

We are officially married in the eyes of God :) Wow! Thank God it's over!! Wow! I can't stop saying that enough times! Man! Weddings in Ecuador are less stressful than here in the U.S. (I still remember my brother's wedding to Gladys). But man, we were running all over the place those last few days. Everyone arrived on time. My brothers, my sister-in-law and my niece, Little Miss Vicki, aka my Flower Girl.

This is the morning of the wedding. We had breakfast at the venue, La Casa Real Hotel & Spa. It was a gorgeous venue and our Matrimonial Suite was huge and gorge.

Mmmmmm, I was maybe a little nervous, but I think I would've been more nervous if we hadn't already done the civil thing.

These are the souvenirs I showed you last year. My sister-in-law, Anabel, and her cousin came over and helped me assemble them before the ceremony! We were so late for everything!

And that's me hot gluing the letter basket. I literally glued the bow and ran out the door!

And this is the day after. We slept at La Casa Real and had breakfast with my family the following day.

Baby Henry's Baptism

On Sunday we celebrated Baby Henry's Baptism. I'm trying to type this quickly because tomorrow we leave for Ecuador, all of us! This is Baby Henry's first international trip. Mommy and Daddy are getting married!! In a church this time. Everything is all set. Well, it's been all set since last year when we were supposed to get married in September, but then we moved the date to June of this year so that my whole family could attend the wedding. Then, I got preggers.... soooooo we moved it to September of this year when baby Henry would be five months. But I'm getting ahead of myself. The wedding is next month and my whole family will be there which makes me happy. Only my niece and nephews from my older brother will not be able to make it.

Back to the Baptism. This is the cake we had designed via a Pinterest pin I saw. Again, this cake was made by Luigi's Bakery.

He's Arrived!

Our baby is finally... here!!

Henry Alejandro, Jr. was born on April 14th (two days late!) at 3:08pm. He weighed 6 lbs and 14 ounces and is 20 1/2 inches in length. It was a natural birth (no Cesarean!).

We love him so much! I can't believe how beautiful he is! Everyone said he was going to be a big, 8-pound baby. They were wrong! He was a wittle itty bitty thing! I started crying when I saw him come out. He's healthy which is what I wanted! My little munchkin!

And here's a little instagram shot I posted. Hahaha. This is him! He's always smiling!

Two Baby Showers and We're Finally Home!

So in February my mother-in-law Laura held a baby shower for me in Ecuador. It was sort of a farewell I guess since Henry's embassy appointment was later on that month and then we finally picked up his Visa on February 28th. We booked our flight back to the U.S. (a first for him!) a few days later and now we are back home, yay!!!!! We were really holding our breaths! He is a bonafide U.S. Resident now.

So here's a picture of my baby shower in Ecuador. The video in back is of a music video, in case anyone thought otherwise. That is my darling husband. He has the best smile ever! I love him so much!

And here we are back in the U.S. First thing we did? Shop for a crib for baby Henry!

I loved the white one in back, but it's so expensive!

On March 22nd, we held our U.S. baby shower with all my U.S. family.

And next to the cake are the souvenirs I made. Since the theme of the party was flying, I decided to make little suitcases as favors. I stayed up til about 5am the day of the shower to finish making these!

These are the invites I had made by Vistaprint. They are boarding tickets. This invite set up the whole theme for the party. We were coming home.

I was in a hurry so inside I only had time for some small sacks of candy.

The suitcases were all different types of designs. I found a template for them online. I searched everywhere. It was not easy I must admit.

Christmas Calendar Postcards; Last Batch: CARDS 975-978 and Some Christmas Crafts I Made in Ecuador!

Merry Christmas! This is the last batch of Christmas calendar postcards I made for my dad. After these four pictures I have posted a few pictures of crafts I made in Ecuador for Christmas. I decided to turn to Pinterest for ideas.

 These are some Santas I made. They were made from toilet paper rolls which I painted red and then decorated with cotton balls, colored, and used some glitter for the nose. I made one for each family member in Ecuador (aka my hubby's family). I also made one for our dog, Hank, and our unborn baby. 

These are some snowflakes I made. My crafting bug was biting me so I had to make something for Christmas while in Ecuador. These were made my cutting the ends of 2-liter soda bottles. I then made a thin glue substance, sprinkled glitter, and then painted blue lines to enhance the snowflakes shape.

We bought some tinsel and lights and decorated the window as well.

Then I decided to make a wreath. I saved as many soda bottles as possible and cut them up. IT took me about two weeks to put all this together. It was a lot of bottles! After I cut up strips of soda bottles, i used scissors to curl each strip. Then i painted each strip in green, gold, and red. After each strip dried, I dip each strip in glue and sprinkled them with their respective glitter. I let that dry and then using a cardboard as my backing, I hot glued each strip to the cardboard, creating my wreath.

I topped the wreath off with a gold Merry Christmas topper that we bought at a Christmas store, and some poinsettias. I was super impressed with how it came out and I enjoyed the whole process (even if my kitchen table was filled with glitter everywhere! For days!!)

The wreath on our door. It was so heavy that it would fall. So I had to lightly hot glue it to the wall. We are renting this apartment so I have to be careful not to ruin the door. 

I am a firm believer that glitter makes everything look 100 times better!!!

And here, ladies and gentlemen, is our little Christmas tree. It's tiny just like our family of 2 (soon to be 3). This is our very first tree. We trimmed it with tinsel, tiny lights, and a little star. Everything was so heavy on it that it fell over on a daily basis. I made a little stand for it, but at times it still fell over.

 And here it is with presents underneath. I also made all of our Christmas presents by hand, but I don't think I have pictures of all those.

Here is hubby and me (And baby in my bun!) in Riobamba. We were out enjoying all the Christmas lights in town.
