Vicki's 1st Birthday Banner

Welcome back! I've got quite a treat for you today! My dear little niece, Vicki, will be turning the big 1 later on this year sooooo.... I decided I would make a Happy 1st Birthday Victoria banner for her! This was a two-step process since I am currently still living in Ecuador. I started by making the letters and gluing them to heavy cardstock. However, when I went back to the U.S. in October for Little Miss's first birthday bash, I decided to make a few changes. Below, you can see the original banner and below that the changes I made, and the banner in use at the party.

These are the changes. I added glitter and Tilda stamped images.

This is my costume for the party. Henry and I will be parents! So I decided to announce my pregnancy at the party. I'm thinking BOY! I made the shirt myself.

Here's the banner at the party. My brother is holding Little Miss Vicki!

And us, the proud parents of a soon-to-be baby Ruiz!

Thank You Cards

So...while I was in the U.S. this past June-July... my sister-in-law Gladys surprised me with a bridal shower! She made me believe we were going to a Martha Stewart lecture. I LOVE Martha Stewart. Like really and truly love her! She is such an inspiration to me. She knows about everything there is to know about home decor and cooking and I just adore her. I was so excited for this talk and then.... we walk to the back of this hotel in Fairfield, and I start to see some familiar faces. I think, "Oh cool. My friends are here too!" Then, I see no one else is there and they're all staring at us... me... and I'm like, "Waitaminute!!!"

Gladys threw me a bridal shower! ME!!! I never even had a clue! She made realistic tickets and everything! I hope I can find pictures of the tickets because she did a DAMN-GOOD job on them! They had little barcodes and everything!

Needless to say, I was amazed and humbled at the same time. All my favorite people were in this one room, excluding my bestie Marjorie but she has an excuse 'cuz she lives in Ohio!

Here is a shot of the souvenirs she made:

So, before I came back here to Ecuador to be with my hubby (we already did our civil wedding, now we just need to have our religious wedding), I decided I would make all my friends Thank You cards for thinking of me that day! So voila! They are below! I made about 10 of these but since they are all the same, I only took a picture of the first one. Enjoy!

Henry's Birthday Card

Happy Birthday to my lovely hubby Henry! Although his birthday is at the end of this month, I made his card ahead of time since I'm still here in the states and he's in Ecuador. I asked my sister-in-law Anabel to scan a specific picture for me of Henry from when he was a little boy. This picture is special to me because when we were just friends, he showed me his pictures and this picture really stood out! I bothered him because he's wearing red, frilly undies! :) So I decided this had to be the picture to put on his card. I also stamped some soccer balls along the side since Henry loves soccer.

I think the funniest thing about this picture (besides his undies) is that his smile is the same now as it was back then. He has the biggest smile and his eyes crinkle. I love him!

My Wedding Invites!

Here comes the bride....... I am very happy to present to you our wedding favors and wedding invites as done by MOI! I used my lovely Cricut to make the wedding favors and I turned to LCI Paper for the inserts for the invites and Cards & Pockets for the envelopes and Pocket Invites.

Wedding Favors: Groom Favors for his family and friends and Bride favors for mine.
I used my Cuttlebug to embellish swirlies on my dress and added gems, ribbons, and flowers. I also added gems to Henry's tux.

I added glitter to his flaps and to my swirlies

The pocketfold outside. I made the sticker myself.

The inside. Invite on the left; envelope and inserts on the right (RSVP, Reception info, and Entry Pass).

I did everything myself! All done and in the bag ready to go to Ecuador. 100 invites!
