Thank You For Being A Friend...

So recently Mal, my co-worker asked me to make her a card for one of her friends. A "Thank you for being my friend" card. She looked around my site and found a card I had made last year for Vanessa and asked me to make something similar. Thankfully, I had a lot of the same supplies as the one I had previously made. I had to make a few adjustments but overall it came out great and Mal was really pleased! Yay!

Eryn's Valentine's Day Card...

Hi hi, I  have a new card up. This is a Valentine's Day card I made for my friend Eryn to give to her boyfriend Pete. I had shown her my mini Valentine's Day tags and she really liked them so I tried to make one similar but in card form. Voila! I used my cricut expression for this and my gypsy. The background is layered with red glitter and i added little hearts here and there. For the inside I had a little bit of trouble because the pink layer wasn't lining up with the red so I had to cut off the external parts and paste the layer as a regular heart. Then--since I can neither draw nor cut straight lines on my own!--I lined the edges with the pink ribbon. Eryn had originally suggested it so it was a good thing that I went ahead with it. I think it looks great and Eryn really liked it. For the envelope I found the xoxo ribbon which I really love. Enjoy!

Two Baby Shower Cards For My Cousin Jenny

Here are two cards I made last for my cousin Jenny. We celebrated her Baby Shower on Saturday for her soon-to-be-here son, Jeremy. My sister-in-law Gladys asked me to make her a baby shower card so I made the first one for her. The second one (brown) is from my family. I wanted to do something different for both so I choose the scalloped easel card for Glady and the tri-shutter for me. They were a lot of fun to make and my cousin and the guests were really in awe. Jenny passed the cards around the room and everyone had a smile on their faces as they looked at them. It was a very nice feeling :)

Becky's Wedding Card

Recently I worked on a Wedding card for my boss, Michelle's sister-in-law Becky. I asked what styles she liked and what the wedding colors were. Black and Red and she likes Easel cards. So I thought what should I do? I've done a black and white wedding easel card (square), how about a scalloped circle easel card? This card was so much fun to make. I love how it turned out. The flowers were very bulky and couldn't fit well in the envelope I had made so I had to make an envelope for thick cards. That was hard since I had no template at all and had to use my noggin. It worked out the first time I did it, thank God! This card is on its way to Becky in Alaska!

Valentine's Day Tags

The following are some tags I worked on this weekend. I used my Cricut machine to make these. I added some Martha Stewart glitter and some string. Perfect for Valentine's Day!
